Volunteer Spotlight: Jennifer Wise

Jennifer Wise is a two-time graduate of the University of South Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 2007 and her Master of Teaching in Secondary Mathematics in 2008. Jennifer now works as an Instructional Services Specialist for Lexington School District Two.

While a student at UofSC, Jennifer was extremely involved in student organizations. She was an active member of Student Government, serving as Treasurer (2006 – 2007) and in the Student Senate as Chair of the Athletics Committee (2005-2006) and the Finance Committee (2007). In addition to Student Government, Jennifer was also involved as a Teaching Fellow and in Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, Shandon College Ministry, the Congressional Advisory Board, Omicron Delta Kappa and the Gamecock Math Club.

Now an alumna of the University of South Carolina, Jennifer believes it is important to stay engaged with the school. Jennifer volunteers her time as a member of the Young Alumni Council, helping host events such as Fall Band Party and student and alumni networking events.

“I both recognize and appreciate all my Gamecock family has done for me over the years. I view serving on YAC as a way to give back to the community I love!”
