Careers
Innovative. Dedicated. Fun.
We are here to connect students and alumni to advance their careers, their passions, and their University of South Carolina. The Alumni Association has the unique opportunity to support and connect a global network of nearly 300,000 passionate Gamecock alumni through events, membership, leadership, and our global network of groups.
Our Association is not your typical higher education environment. We move fast, innovate without restriction, and never turn down a big idea. Below you will find a small piece of each of our organization’s core values. If you are the type of person who always finds a way to get stuff done while showing team spirit and focusing on creating meaningful experiences, then the USC Alumni Association could be a home for you! We are proud of our culture, our values, and our connection to the flagship institution in the state of South Carolina. We put Gamecocks at the center of everything we do and always show our garnet and black pride. We are confident that there is nowhere else where you can have as much fun, flexibility, and the freedom to create all while supporting students and alumni.
Forever to thee!
Find a Way.
- Adaptable
- Flexible
- Positive Attitude
Finding a way is all about your ability to adapt in the face of a new challenge. Let’s face it: things do not always go according to plan no matter what business you’re in. As much as we would like them to, the plans we make here at the Association do not always work out. Going to give a presentation to the board and PowerPoint does not work? Seen it. Show up to host an event and none of your supplies are there? We’ve been there, too. If you are the type of person who runs towards a challenge with positivity and adaptability, then you share our core value of Find a Way.

Get Stuff Done.
- Creative
- Innovative
- Resourceful
- Solutions, Not Problems
It’s no secret, the Alumni Association gets stuff done. In the past year alone, nearly 12,000 Gamecocks have come out to our events while nearly 10,000 others have engaged as members. We have a big, passionate audience that we cater to, and it takes creativity, an innovative spirit, and a focus on solutions, not the problems themselves. If you are the type of person who goes to your supervisor in the face of challenge and rattles off 10 ideas on how to fix it, then you Get Stuff Done.

Show Team Spirit.
- Team Work
- Find the Fun
- Collaborate
- Service to Others
- Desire to Contribute
We are a small but mighty organization. With six active teams in our office of 20, it is imperative that we work together without boundaries. Just sit in one of our staff meetings, and you will notice right away that we are all driven by a bigger mission. Sure, each of our teams have goals, but we all know that we cannot meet those objectives without the help of our broader team. If you are the type of person who would rather see a good idea flourish than to get credit for it, then you are a collaborator who shows team spirit. Nobody wins unless we all do.

Create Meaningful Experiences.
- Go the Extra Mile
- Passion for People
- Put Gamecocks First
Our jobs revolve around Gamecocks, and the passion that over 300,000 people share for this great University. We are in the business of creating experiences for these passionate individuals to strengthen their bond to the place we all call home. Whether it is our signature events like Homecoming or Gamecock Sports Preview, we all take pride in seeing alumni connect with each other. If you are the type of person who does not mind working a few evenings or weekends to help Gamecocks have a great time, then you have the core value of creating meaningful experiences.
