As a UofSC graduate, you understand our culture of excellence and academic rigor that make South Carolina students successful candidates and employees. In partnership with the Career Center, the Alumni Association is excited to offer you Handshake, a career management platform to connect with and recruit talent from the Gamecock community.
In Handshake, you are able to utilize a variety of recruitment strategies (post job opportunities, search candidate resumes, filter by candidates’ experiences) to find qualified candidates for your positions.
Please use the Handshake Employer User Guide and Handshake Employer Help Center to sign up for Handshake and get the most out of your account. Typically it can take up to 72 hours to approve your request to connect, and up to 72 hours to approve your job postings.
Please note that the UofSC Career Center has a strict employer vetting process to protect candidates from fraudulent activities. Should your account request be declined, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Career Center for further assistance. Listed below are two common errors to avoid when creating your account.
- Insufficient Information: Please make sure to include a full address for your location, telephone number, and email address for your company.
- Mismatched website domain and email address: Please use your organization email when registering in Handshake and not your personal email account (i.e. Gmail); The email and website domains must match.
