December grad drawn to UofSC by summer program
King Curry credits several programs for his successful college career

As a high school senior, King Curry participated in the Business at Moore program, which solidified his decision to attend South Carolina.
The program targets high-achieving high school students underrepresented in business.
“We stayed at the Honors dorm and you have to come up with this business proposition,” Curry said. “Then at the end of the week, you have to present it. And I had a lot of fun. That’s really what kind of made me say, ‘OK, I want to go to South Carolina.'”
Curry was also selected for the Moore School’s Rising Scholars program, which allowed him to connect with peer mentors and other resources at South Carolina.
The December 2021 graduate will begin his career with JEAR Logistics in Mount Pleasant, S.C.
