Meet our 2022 Greener Scholar: KJ Frazier

We met with this year’s Richard T. Greener Scholarship recipient, KJ Frazier, to learn what the scholarship means to him, how it will help with his future goals, and what he’s most excited for in his time at UofSC.
KJ Frazier is an incoming Freshman from Bluffton, SC. He is in the Capstone Scholars program and is majoring in International Business in the Darla Moore School of Business. KJ hopes to eventually work for a Fortune 500 company in the future, utilizing his proficiency in Chinese, along with his required study abroad coursework, to be able to work across the domestic and international workspace.
KJ has been a Gamecock his whole life and is excited to follow in his father’s footsteps and continue the Gamecock legacy. KJ says, “I’ve grown up as a USC fan and knew I was going to USC since day one. I’m really looking forward to experiencing the experiences he had. I’m just excited to get on campus and finally be a Gamecock.” KJ has grown up attending Carolina football games and is hopeful for a winning season, although he’s a lifelong fan no matter the score.
When talking about what the Richard T. Greener Scholarship means to him, KJ is focused on continuing the legacy of Richard T. Greener at UofSC and wants to inspire other students to uphold the critical values held by Richard T. Greener. KJ wants to be successful in and out of the classroom during his time at UofSC. Community service is a big part of KJ’s life, and he is eager to get into the community and make a difference. He says, “I want to be able to look back on my time at Carolina and not only say I was a good student, but I also want to say I was a good person and Carolina molded me to be the person that I am.”
