Engineer strengthens business acumen by completing MBA

Lacey Wildes graduated in 2019 with her MBA to expand her experience in supply chain and broaden her knowledge of the business field as an engineer.
After finishing her aerospace engineering degree from Georgia Tech in 2011, Wildes went on to hold multiple engineering positions at companies such as Pratt & Whitney, Sikorsky Aircraft and now GE Renewable Energy.
“With GE, I’m currently a supplier quality engineer, where I work closely with wind turbine blade manufacturers to ensure they are making good parts for our turbines,” Wildes said. “I visit these manufacturing sites often to audit their production and support process improvement using Six Sigma tools.”
To increase her business acumen and maintain flexibility with her career, Wildes enrolled in the Moore School’s Professional MBA program. She chose the Moore School for its international reputation and because her father is a 1983 alumnus.
