Environmental science graduate takes research to the next level
Emma DeLoughry turns her study of plastics pollution in South Carolina into documentary that will air on ETV

To help bring awareness to the amount of plastic waste in South Carolina waterways, Emma DeLoughry spent her graduate school career making a documentary.
“A film is not traditional for a project like this; however, I wanted to do something where I could affect a behavioral change,” she said.
DeLoughry took media arts classes in addition to her Master of Earth and Environment Resource Management degree.
The documentary aired on ETV in December.
