Psychology, '07 Counseling Education, '12 Juris Doctor, has joined Sowell Gray Stepp & Laffitte, LLC as an associate.Prior to joinng Sowell Gray, Jasmine served as a staff attorney and judicial law clerk for both the Honorable John D. Geathers and Honorable Jasper M. Cureton at the South Carolina Court of Appeals. Jasmine has twice received the South Carolina Young Lawyers Division Star of the Quarter and was named an American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Scholar. Jasmine will focus her practice at Sowell Gray on workers' compensation defense. Jasmine is a recipient of the The South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division President’s Award. This award honors her service and leadership in the legal profession. Jasmine currently serves as co-chair of the Young Lawyers Division Voices Against Violence Committee, where she received the “Outstanding Volunteer Group” Award for a shelter refurbishment project she helped to implement. She also serves as co-chair of the South Carolina Bar Leadership Academy Committee, chair of the Resource Assembly and Website Development committee for the South Carolina Bar Living Above the Bar Wellness Committee and is a member of the Young Lawyers Division Color of Justice Committee.
