Journalism, is in his 15th year of teaching. Truesdale was awarded the Anderson School District One Teacher of the Year for 2015-2016 and the Wren Teacher of the Year in 2014-2015. He authored a book about his first year of teaching AP Language at Wren called, "The Class: A Teacher, His Students, Their Story"
