Physics, physician has assumed the position of board chair for the American Medical Association, the largest association of physicians in the country and an influential voice in the ongoing national debate over health care. Dr. Gerald Harmon, a board-certified physician with Tidelands Waccamaw Family Medicine and vice president of Tidelands Health Group, on Wednesday became chair of the board of trustees for the AMA.
