Dallas Fort-Worth Gamecocks
ABOUT THE CLUB
The USC Alumni Association exists to bring Gamecocks together for game viewing parties, happy hours, networking events and a variety of service opportunities in the local community. The DFW Gamecocks represent all alumni living in the Dallas Fort-Worth area. In effort to support the greater University of South Carolina community, join us in donating to the Legacy Scholarship Fund (For Children of Alumni) (a162).
CLUB LEADERSHIP
The dedicated Gamecock listed below is responsible for organizing and engaging alumni in your area. The USC Alumni Association is grateful for the passionate support of our volunteer leaders. As your local club chair, I would like to personally invite you to come out and engage with your fellow alumni. Be sure to connect with us on our social media platforms to stay up-to-date on upcoming events.
Go, Gamecocks!

Club Chair: Lauren Battista ’14
Meet Lauren
Hi Y’all! My name is Lauren Battista. I was born and raised right here in Dallas, Tx. After graduating from the college of Hospitality, retail and sport management in 2014, I moved back home to Dallas and started running the Gamecock Group.
Some of my favorite Carolina memories include upsetting #1 Alabama at home my freshman year in 2010, being in Athens to see the Gamecocks beat Georgia between the hedges in 2019 and watching the 2017 Final Four runs from both the women and men’s basketball team. Seeing the Women take home their first title here in Dallas with the rest of the DFW Gamecock club is something I will never forget.
Helping this group grow over the last decade has been extremely rewarding and getting Cocky to come to our Men’s Final Four watch party in 2017 confirmed that this is best group in the country!

Vice Chair: Mallory Goodrich ’10
Meet Mallory
Hi, DFW Gamecocks! I live in Mansfield and help coordinate club events in Fort Worth. Before moving to Texas, I lived in Memphis and volunteered with the Memphis Alumni Club there. I have lots of fond memories of my time at Carolina, but my favorite has got to be watching South Carolina beat Alabama in 2010.
I graduated in 2010 bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a degree from the South Carolina Honors College. I will graduate with my M.Ed. in Learning Design and Technologies in August 2023, also from South Carolina. I am currently staying at home with our daughter, but I have eleven years of full-time teaching experience in South Carolina and Tennessee.
I am a huge sports fan, and I enjoy spending my free time watching sports, traveling to new places, meeting new people, and cooking. I have been married to my wonderful husband, William (also a South Carolina alumnus), for nine years, and we have a precious eight-month-old daughter, Samantha. We also have a very sweet, handsome, goofy, nine-year-old rescue greyhound named Maxcy.
